Due to the widespread COVID-19 pandemic, the citizens of the country have become more aware and health concerned to stay safe from every possible harm. With the decision of lockdown from the government, essential goods are only the survivor for people to fight against COVID-19 pandemic.
The Ministry of Home Affairs on Sunday decided to bring expansion in the grocery segment which includes personal hygiene goods. This move may bring a word of relief for makers in fast-moving consumer goods.
Due to the extension of lockdown until May 3, the Ministry of Home Affairs also waved a green signal for the transportation of all goods. This transportation will be differentiated as essential and non-essential. This is executed with an intention to ease the flow of goods to millions of the people stuck in their home due to the lockdown. The Ministry of Home Affair states that the issue which occurred in the past week will not take place because of the ease transportation flow of all goods without differentiating essential and non-essential have been allowed by the government.
The groceries include hygiene products such as disinfectants, body wash, han-washes, detergents, tissue papers, chargers, battery cells, sanitary pads and diapers, toothpaste, and more. Fast-moving companies have already clarified about the items including groceries, essential and non-essential goods.
Moreover, the essential goods will include all the eateries such as rice, pulses, wheat, sugar, food oil, and more. The clarification made by fast-moving companies from leading vendors of daily goods will take a chance to confirm the supply chains from the government amid COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. However, leading companies of consumer goods are running a shortage of suppliers as they feared a disruption for the lockdown of warehouses and restricted vehicle movement.
