India’s largest pizza chain, Domino’s has joined hands with packaged consumer goods major ITC Foods to launch ‘Domino’s Essentials’, it said Thursday. The delivery infrastructure of Domino’s with a strong delivery system, will be leveraged under this partnership to help customers order everyday grocery essentials offered by ITC Foods.
Domino’s, the India’s largest food chain, to launch ‘Domino’s essentials’ in collaboration with packaged consumer goods major ITC Foods as per the reports on Thursday. Dominos with its delivery infrastructure of Jubilant FoodWorks arm will work on helping the customers that will offer everyday essentials like groceries as offered by ITC Foods.
This service by ITC will be initiated in houses of cities like Bengaluru Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad and Noida.
The ordering system will be on Domino’s App which is used for ordering pizzas. Now people will be able to order packs of Aashirvaad atta, various spices like coriander, turmeric powder, chilli powder, other spices and essential commodities.
Many other companies with available fleet of delivery executives are been used for the delivery of essential goods and services such as staples, and personal hygiene products in the lockdown period to make these things available for the people. There is a disturbance in the supply chain due to the corona virus outbreak all over the globe and it is difficult to transport these essential goods for people to access these products easily. As the people are under a lockdown of 21 days, they are not allowed to get out of their homes which is increasing the demand for these essential products all over the country.
Products like wheat flour, spices, salt are been sold under the name of Brand Aashirvaad and the personal hygiene products such as sanitizers, soaps, and other goods are been sold on as per the order basis are been sold by ITC foods. In the current partnership they will collaborate to deliver these items as per the requirements.
