Israel attacks Islamic Jihad sites in Gaza and Syria in response to rocket attacks

Israel military has carried out more than 20 rockets in response to rocket fire against the military group from Gaza into southern Israel causing some damages. On Sunday, the Israeli military fired to the “terror targets” which is called by the PIJ, which includes training facilities and weapon development near Damascus overnight. PIJ confirmed that the two fighters of military group were killed in Syria. Therefore they vowed to avenge the deaths.

Further Health ministry of Gaza informed that four Palestinians were injured in the territory. In addition, another six rockets were carried out and fired on Monday at Israel. According to the Israel military, five of them were intercepted. And there were no injuries and causalities were reported. When the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) announced that it had killed a PIJ militant with the Gaza Strip near Israel’s border fence, the number of hostilities increased on Sunday morning. According to the IDF, troops found that two men were trying to plant an explosive device on the fence and also open fire at them. A video about this incident shared on social media widely. This video showed that Israeli bulldozer scooping up the body of the man and also provoking anger among Palestinians.

PIJ appealed responsibility for the rocket fire calling it as a response to the killing of its fighter at the border fence. And on Sunday night, Israeli fighter jets fired retaliatory strikes on PIJ targets. PIJ is one of the strongest militant groups in Gaza and it is backed by Iran.

On Monday morning, prime minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu warned that there would be “large-scale military operation” in Gaza and that might be unavoidable. He told Radio Jerusalem that, War is a last alternative but there would be no escape from it. And they have set a fundamentally different campaign.
